About Us
Trailer and Truck Body Specialist Since 2001
CTS Trailers was incorporated in 2001 after the current owners, Deon Prinsloo and Nathan Prins, concluded a management buy-out transaction of Busaf Cape.
Busaf Cape was the trailer division of Dorbyl Transport Products situated in Bellville, Western Cape.
CTS Trailers went from strength to strength and relocated out of the old Busaf Park building to its current Cecil Morgan premises in Stikland, Bellville, which they bought in 2005.
CTS Trailers became a dominant role player in the Transport Industry. CTS was the first tipper manufacturer that started using high tensile steel, Domex®, in their designs giving their customers additional payload. CTS Trailers is still the market leader in tipper manufacturing in the Western Cape and preferred supplier of rigid tippers by most Truck OEM’s.
CTS Trailers innovation in design and development of road transport products became well known in the industry and developed many purpose build trailers for their customer’s needs. This included a patented design “barrier system” for Curtain side interlinks and also double decking interlinks to carry 72 pallet cargo. Recently a special rear end tipper was designed to maximise volume in the scrap steel industry. CTS has recently added side tipping trailers to their product offering and produces 20m3, 45m3 and 50m3 side tipping interlinks.
The new Service and Parts centre was constructed and completed in 2021 together with the sales & admin offices in Bell Street, Stikland, which is situated behind the Cecil Morgan Street’s Manufacturing and Repair facility.
CTS is a proudly South African BBEE company operating successfully since 2001.
